Core Values

• Lumen Academy provides a safe, therapeutic atmosphere for students to develop the academic and social skills necessary to achieve their individual goals toward personal growth.

• Lumen Academy believes that a student enrolled in the program has the potential to work through his/her issues and develop the skills necessary to be successful back in the mainstream. This is done in a safe environment with the support and assistance of the educational and therapeutic staff in cooperation with the student, his/her family, and referring school district.

• Students that attend Lumen Academy will gain insights into how to create safe and healthy relationships with family, peers and others in their life. While at Lumen, students have the opportunity to practice conversational skills and coping mechanisms under the guidance of licensed therapists. Students are part of a community where everyone works together and benefits from each other’s input and insight.
